Brazilian fintech Vindi raised new round

The payment platform Vindi has raised a new round (Series A) from Criatec2 (venture capital firm) managed by Bozano Investimentos (private equity firm).

Founded in 2013, by financial services entrepreneurs, Vindi is the reference in subscription and recurring billing in Brazil. Vindi let’s business easily process payments online through a cloud platform and API’s. Customers like Serasa Experian, Thomson Reuters, Buscapé and Smartfit are using their payment solutions. The company has more than 1.000 customers using high technology and their financial services, accepting recurring payments, sending invoices, building checkouts and more affordable. This was the second round of investment company. 

The company was founded by Rodrigo Dantas, a former banking executive at Itaú Unibanco and Luiz Filipe (angel investor and entrepreneur). Dantas is a leading expert in the Saas and subscription model in Latam. In 2014 the entrepreneur created the event “Assinaturas Day” (subscription day), an important meetup to develop the segment.

Vindi is one of the most expressive fintech startups in Brazil. Saas plataforms, subscription commerces and services companies are choosing platforms like Vindi, to solve problems in the complex Brazilian financial system. Brazil has challenges like installments, boletos, different rules in taxes and one of the most competitive banking market in the world. 

The company has 25 employees and is targeting the Latin American market that is still lacking in recurring payment. Vindi follows the direction of companies like ChargifyRecurly, Chargebee and Zuora.
